Tile!

This weekend, Mike’s dad let us borrow his truck since we had a 10% off total purchase at Home Depot and Lowes that was expiring soon. First we went to Home Depot, in search for tile for the Kitchen, powder room and laundry room. We found a tile we liked on display but could not find the actual boxes to look at them more closely. After asking 4 people, no one was able to help us. Finally, someone said there was only one guy on duty for flooring (carpet cutting/ tile etc). We finally found this guy and there was a line of 4 people just waiting to talk with him!!! The guy was extremely nice and apologetic and said management only allows one person per department on a Friday night. Believe me if you have ever been to home depot on a Friday night, you know this is not a quiet time at the store, in fact it may be one of the busiest. We decided we would take out business elsewhere for the tile since we were not getting the help we needed. We did; however, purchase lighting fixtures, a pedestal sink and outdoor ceilings fans to utilize our coupon. So off to Lowes we went. After some debate we choose a tile we are very excited about. We look forward to putting it in the house!

Saturday we spent the day cleaning and doing yard work. Saturday night Jackie and her boyfriend Mike came over and we barbequed. Sunday we relaxed a little and then went to Lowes again to pick up some patio chairs we found on clearance.
