Mike and I spent the majority of the weekend, doing "sweat equity". Each time one of us gets tired, we just keep saying "sweat equity. sweat equity". It has become sort of a joke and makes us laugh each time we say it. We spent Friday night hanging more light fixtures in hopes of working towards a gold free house. Saturday we did yard work. Saturday evening we had a very nice relaxing BBQ with Mikes mom, Joe, Uncle Ken and Ashley. Sunday we woke up bright and early and ripped the carpet up from the Master bedroom. We were very nervous on how the condition of the wood floors would be. We were delighted (and relived) that the floors were absolutely gorgeous underneath the carpet. Now we want to take up most of the carpet on the upstairs. Mike was also able to finish the brick path, which looks great!

Sunday evening we installed new hardware on the kitchen cabnits.

Oooh the floors looks great! Hardwood is so much easier to have if you hate vacuuming as much as I do :-)
