The joys of moving

As our settlement gets closer and closer, I am getting more and more stressed out. Mike tries to reassure me that this should be an exciting time not stressful. HA! After the day I (and my mother) had yesterday I am over the whole moving process. We booked a partial move with FL Moving and Storage (don’t use!) to move some furniture my mom was nice enough to give us from GA to PA. The movers were scheduled to come yesterday and after arriving tried to double the price saying the furniture "was bigger" than expecting. Mind you we itemized the items being picked up and had the exact same amount we said we did they said it was "bigger". After two hours of back and forth, the Sales Rep and the driver couldn’t come to an agreement and the driver left without saying a word. The Sales Rep and I came to a price agreement (a little more than originally expected but at this point I just wanted the furniture to be moved) and the driver said "I do not agree with that price and will only move some of the furniture" after I explained I already talked to the office manager and we agreed on a price and his response "I’m not agreeing and I'm cancelling the move". AHHH so after all that the furniture didn’t get picked up. We have since rescheduled with another company who is picking up the furniture on Saturday and I hope this goes smoother! The company said they would give me the deposit back and apologized, but I still can't believe the complete lack of customer service!
