First of many sacrafices

Becoming a Mom I will make many sacrafices for my child. Sure I suppose I have already started to sacrafice for my unborn child, I have sacraficed my body so I guess that counts. But I was never really bothered by that, but last night I made the first sacrafice that I didnt really want to. I got ride of my fabuluous new car! Growing up we always had to work for things we wanted so needless to say I didnt always have the most fabuluous car, 1998 Ford Escape & 2002 Chevy Malibu. However, once I got the "real" job one of our first purchases was my new car. A brand spanking new 2009 Nissan Altima Coupe in Jet Black. At the time of purchase, expanding our family was far from our minds as we were celebrating our first year of marriage and just enjoying having fun. So why not get a fun 2 door car with a very limited back seat. I just loved this car. Fast Forward 1.5 years with a suprise of a little one on the way. Mike and I couldnt be more excited and more grateful for the gift we have been given. The baby was a welcomed suprise. We had bought a house big enough knowing that the "craft room" would one day be the nursery so that was an easy adjustment. But then there was the car, as sporty as this car was it was not made for a carseat! So, we traded in the car. After about 5 months of debating on what car I even liked we finally bought one. I do love my "new" car as it is very roomy, comfortable and 4 Wheel Drive (a big bonus for where we live) but it isnt the same as the sporty Nissan. Althought the Highlander is the Sporty addition which inclues a sunroof so I cant really complain! And I must admit it was much easier to get in and out of, and I did enjoy the ride into work. I know this sacrafic will be well worth it as we will now be able to be put the baby in the car without putting the carseat sideways which is a big bonus :)

I like it! What is it with us and white 'mom' cars? Meredith has a white car too!
