When we bought the house, the owners left several things behind including a huge animal trap. Mike decided a couple weeks back to set up the trap to try and catch an animal. After several weeks we forgot about the trap, that is until this morning. I was washing the breakfeast dishes and Mike was taking the compost out. I looked up and Mike is running back towards the house smiling ear to ear. He ran into his house screaming "Get your shoes, I caught something" After some researching we deteremined he caught a Gopher. Although it was entertaining, we both looked at each other like now what. This animal was the size of a Turkey you would see on your dining room table for Thanksgiving. We finally were able to set that critter go and with that the trap got put away in the shed. Although Mike thought it was fun to catch something I dont think he considered what he would do after he caught it. Plus we felt bad for the little guy.

I am so happy that he was alive and you let him go. When I started reading the post I thought it was not going to be a happy ending.
I love this post ... definitely made me laugh :-)
