Due to hurricane Ida, I unfortunately did not get to go see my family and meet baby Weston as originally planed this past weekend. After arriving at the airport around 7:00PM (for a scheduled 9PM departure) I waited and watched the plane get delayed 20 minutes on average everything 30 minutes I waited. At 11:30PM I went to the ticket counter (exhausted after working a full day) and the lady preceded to tell me the plane had yet to leave the airport at which it currently was (LaGuarida). She then told me she could give me a round trip ticket that is valid for one year if I opted not to wait for the plane as they were unsure when it would actually leave and since it was getting delayed till the next day (since I wouldn’t technically be landing past midnight). After much debate and disappointment I decided that I would have to meet Weston another time :( I am sorry I missed a fun weekend seeing most the family but I could not fathom waiting at the airport for the plane to take off (past midnight) to get me into Raleigh around 1:30ish and back to Karen's around 2. And that’s if the plane had left LaGuarida at that minute. Anyhoo... at least I get a roundtrip to use within a year (of course there are blackout dates...aren’t there always?)
So since I had a "free" weekend, Mike and I decided to install some new door hardware. We haven't completed all of them yet (as we haven’t purchased them all yet, who would have thought new door hardware would have been so expensive!)
