This past weekend we celebrated Mikes 27th Birthday at Kings Dominion (was recently voted Virginia's most exciting theme park) in Virginia. We left Friday afternoon and arrived late Friday night. Traffic on 95 was horrible (Thanks Uncle Ken for helping find an alterative route). We checked in the hotel Friday night and we to the local Applebee’s for dinner and drinks! Saturday morning we woke up and spent the day at the park. Although the weather was less than desirable, the crowds in the morning were minimal. The first coaster we went on (
The Dominator) had no lines and we go to sit in the front seat! After riding all the roller coaters Mike and I rated The Dominator and the Volcano the best. Although Mikes favorite thing he did was went flying. I was too big of chicken to go (and it was a little expensive), but Mike said he always wanted to do it so on his birthday he thought it was the best time to do it. I was so nervous for him but he loved it. He went on the Xtreme Sky Flyer where you get strapped into a special harness which is then attached to a wire. Once attached, you're hoisted backwards in the air 160 + feet, then Mike pulled the rip cord & you free fall. It was an really neat watch.
