Our Summer Vacation!

For those of you who didn’t know we just got back from vacation. (Warning super long post with tons of pictures).

We had a great time. We started off the trip at Cabo Fish Taco in Charlotte, NC. Yet another DDD spot to check off our list. The tacos were yummy and the town was super cute.

Shrimp Tacos and Avacado Pasta Salad

We arrived Saturday evening and were greeted by a house full of people. My parents, my sister Karen, Clay, Weston and our newest niece (not yet born), Clays Sister Meredith, her husband Harry and their sweet little girl Aliana. We decided Aliana and Mikey were close enough to cousins we were going to go with it. Every morning when Mikey woke up he asked where his cousins were.

Dinner for three!

We spent the next few days lying by the pool, taking boat rides, attempting to water ski, drinking too many beers and enjoying everyone’s company.

Mike and I then left for Cancun to celebrate our 5 year anniversary (crazy how long it’s been) on Tuesday. Additional post to follow. My mom watched Mikey (with the help of Dad, Weston, Clay and Karen). It was super nice to relax and lay beach side. Thanks Mom for taking such good care of our Monster Man
We returned home sun burned and relaxed, we enjoyed more lake time and attempted to water ski again (Failure). I swear I will get it one of these times. We got to spend time quality with Grandma and go to a delicious Japanese Steakhouse where she is famous. Seriously, the chefs came over to say Hi specifically to her.
Sunday, Julie and Zach hosted Mexican night (I don’t think I will ever get sick of Chips and Salsa). Their house is gorgeous and we can’t wait to see all the updates!
Monday, mom watched Mikey again and we got to enjoy some outlet shopping. We enjoyed a nice sunset boat ride

Tuesday – we took Mikey to a local wildlife rescue. He enjoyed seeing all of the animals.

We arrived home Wednesday night. Mikey was awesome in the car and it was an easy ride home. Overall we had a great trip and it was super relaxing. Mikey is already asking to go back!

I waterskied for 4 years at camp when I was younger. I think I actually got up on the skis once. It's hard!

These pics totally made my day :-) Thanks Meg!
