Mikey's First Vacation

This past week we took Mikey on his first road trip to Atlanta. He was such a champ! On the way down it typically takes us 12 hours to drive down and with Mikey it took 12.5 hours! He slept most the way and I was able to feed him in his carseat which worked out great. Mikey had a great time visiting his grandparents, great grandma and aunts and uncles on vacation. Mike and I had a great relaxing time and it was so nice to have all the extra help with Mikey! Since my parents do not get to see him often they were more than happy to help watch Mikey while Mike and I napped, went to a winery (post to follow), and even went to a haunted house! As many of you know Mike loves haunted houses so when we heard about Netherworld Haunted House about 40 minutes from my parents house we had to go. Voted #1 Haunted House in America by USA Today this haunted house did not disappoint!
We took Mikey swimming for the first time and he loved it. He did not cry once except when we finally took him out of the "kids pool" (the hot tub) he realized he was wet and was not happy.

4 Generations of Garchows!

On the way to North Carolina to celebrate Westons 1st birthday we had to stop at The Beacon in Spartanburg, SC which was featured on Diners Drive-ins and Dives which is one of Mike’s favorite show. The drive-in is famous for their sweet ice tea which was awesome, it even came with shaved ice. Mike got a Burgar a Plenty which came with onion rings and fries and I for a chicken sandwhich. Overall we enjoyed the spot and look forward to trying the next place that crossed our path.
